Instagram is finally introducing the ability to post a message to multiple accounts at the same time. The much-requested feature is being rolled out to all iOS users, the company confirms.
Posting Instagram posts is now easier
You can only post a photo, video or other media on Instagram from one account. If you have shared a picture with your private account and you also want to publish it on your business Instagram, you have to switch accounts in the app and create a separate post. Awkward and time-consuming, Instagram users have been complaining for years. The social medium did not respond during all that time, but is now tackled anyway.

Instagram confirms to TechCrunch that iOS users can share a message on multiple accounts at the same time from today. The feature will be available in phases in the app, but is only visible if you are actually logged in with multiple Instagram accounts.
This is how you use the transfer feature
- Open Instagram on your iOS device;
- Select one or more photos / videos that you want to post as a message. Please note: such a separate item does not belong to your Story;
- You may edit the media with a filter or other effects;
- If desired, give your post a caption, location and / or hashtags;
- In the middle of the screen is ‘Post to other accounts’, where all your Instagram accounts are displayed;
- For accounts that also have to share the message, check the blue check mark;
- Press ‘Share’ in the top right to post your message to multiple accounts at the same time.

Google Photos integration not to iOS
The ‘post to other accounts’ feature is not yet available for Android. This will probably change soon, but Instagram does not want to say anything about it. The social medium does say that it will soon give Android users the option of selecting photos from Google Photos more easily. This feature is not yet coming to iOS.
