Delete photos on iPhone
You can use multiple ways to erase iPhone photos. If you prefer to work selectively, so that you still keep certain snapshots on the device, then you have a little more work. Yet it is then possible to select dozens of photos at the same time, without opening a picture each time. For that you do the following:
- Open the Photos app;
- Go to ‘Library’ or choose an album of your choice;
- Tap ‘Select’ at the top right;
- Tap the photos you want to delete;
You can also swipe over rows of photos you want to delete.
- After the selection, choose the trash can at the bottom right and confirm the deletion.
Helpful Hint: If you want to select a lot of photos at once, swipe your finger from the top left photo during selection. Swipe right and then down. This way you can select entire rows at once and then delete them.
Delete photos by category
If you go to the folder with all photos on your iPhone, it may be difficult to find out what you want and don’t want to delete. Alternatively, you can scroll all the way down in your albums. Here you can see how many photos and videos you have saved per category. For example, tap ‘Screenshots’ to see all your screenshots. You can then choose the screenshots you want to delete here.
