It can be a hassle to keep all your apps up to date, but luckily there is also an option to have them update automatically. As a result, all available updates are downloaded in the background and you do not have to look at them further. To have your iPhone / iPad automatically download and install app updates from the App Store, follow the steps below:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad;
- Go to ‘iTunes Store and App Store’;
- Make sure the switch behind ‘Updates’ (under ‘Automatic downloads’) is turned on. If you want, you can also enable the ‘Use mobile data’ option so that updates are also downloaded while on the go.
