Togg T10X

The Turkish company Togg will bring its first electric car to the Netherlands in 2023. In addition, the brand announces the first final specifications of its electric SUV and it gives the car a name: Togg T10X.

Togg has been working on his first cars for months now. The brand new Turkish car brand has already shown various models and now the brand’s very first electric car is becoming a lot more concrete. The electric SUV formerly simply referred to as ‘C-SUV’ has a name: T10X.

The Togg T10X is an electric SUV with which the national car brand of Turkey focuses on electric cars such as the Volkswagen ID4. Don’t make the mistake of referring to the T10X as ‘car’. The brand explicitly describes the T10X as ‘smartdevice’. We take the plunge and of course refer to the model as ‘car’. Now that that’s out of the blue, what does the Togg T10X have to offer?

The Togg T10X will initially be marketed as a rear-wheel drive. That version has a 218 hp electric motor on the rear axle and draws its zest for life from a 52.4 kWh battery. With this, the T10X squeezes out an electrical range of 314 WLTP kilometers. It doesn’t stop there. The higher-positioned V2 equipment level – more about that later – will also be available with a larger battery pack with a capacity of 523 kilometers in addition to the 52.4 kWh battery. This gives the SUV a WLTP range of 523 kilometers. The maximum charging capacity of the Togg T10X is 150 kW. In time, a more powerful variant with two 218 hp electric motors and thus four-wheel drive will also be available.

Also to the Netherlands

The Togg T10X will be launched in April this year in its home country of Turkey, but will also be shipped across the border. At the end of 2024, the first models should be exported to Western European countries, including the Netherlands. According to Togg, the T10X was designed to score the full 5-star rating in NCAP safety testing.

The design of the T10X is the result of a collaboration between the Togg design studio and none other than Pininfarina. Fun fact: in the grille and the alloy wheels, among other things, you see shapes that should resemble tulips.

Equipment Togg T10X

The Togg T10X has a starting price of 953,000 TRY in Turkey. Converted to about €47,500. Mind you, that includes local VAT (18 percent) and a user tax of 10 percent. The basic version, called the V1, has an extensive infotainment system with artificial intelligence, a 12-inch digital instrument panel and an infotainment screen with a diagonal of no less than 29 inches as standard. You can chat to a digital assistant to control certain functions.

The higher-positioned V2 models include 19-inch alloy wheels, gray roof rails, gray window surrounds and front fog lamps. Artificial leather upholstery (black or cream color), electrically adjustable and heated front seats with memory function and heated seats in the back are also part of the V2 party. The same goes for mood lighting. The V2 versions are also available with an automatically operated tailgate, heated windscreen and adaptive cruise control with stop & go.

And further?

It doesn’t stop with the Togg T10X. For example, AutoWeek could tell you earlier that an electric sedan and an electric fastback-like will follow. The latter is based on the concept car that Togg showed in 2022 during the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Interesting. However?
