Toolbars on the Taskbar

Add 1801 Toolbar

In Windows 10, add toolbars to the Taskbar. Frequently used functions are then always shown at the bottom of the screen.

In Windows 10, add a toolbar like this:

  • First check if the Language bar is unlocked. To do this, right-click on an empty spot in the Taskbar and remove the checkmark for Lock all taskbars.
  • Right-click on an empty spot in the Taskbar.
  • click on Toolbars.
  • Click on the toolbar you want to see. There are four options:
    • Address: Displays an address bar for the Internet. Type in a web address, press the Enter key and the website will open.
    • Links: Drag and drop frequently used websites here to open them with a mouse click.
    • desktop: click on the arrow to the right of this toolbar to see all items of the Desktop. Click on the name of a component and the program or file opens.
    • New toolbar: opens another toolbar that is already somewhere on the hard drive. We will not go into this further.

In Windows 11, this feature is not available.

Is a toolbar not quite what you expected it to be? Then turn it off again:

  • Right-click on an empty spot in the Taskbar.
  • click on Toolbars.
  • Click the name of the checked toolbar you want to disable.

The toolbar disappears from the Taskbar again.
