In Windows 10, add toolbars to the Taskbar. Frequently used functions are then always shown at the bottom of the screen.
Add Toolbar
In Windows 10, add a toolbar like this:
- First check if the Language bar is unlocked. To do this, right-click on an empty spot in the Taskbar and remove the checkmark for Lock all taskbars.
- Right-click on an empty spot in the Taskbar.
- click on Toolbars.
- Click on the toolbar you want to see. There are four options:
- Address: Displays an address bar for the Internet. Type in a web address, press the Enter key and the website will open.
- Links: Drag and drop frequently used websites here to open them with a mouse click.
- desktop: click on the arrow to the right of this toolbar to see all items of the Desktop. Click on the name of a component and the program or file opens.
- New toolbar: opens another toolbar that is already somewhere on the hard drive. We will not go into this further.
In Windows 11, this feature is not available.
Disable Toolbar
Is a toolbar not quite what you expected it to be? Then turn it off again:
- Right-click on an empty spot in the Taskbar.
- click on Toolbars.
- Click the name of the checked toolbar you want to disable.
The toolbar disappears from the Taskbar again.
