Also in 2020, you, the readers, filled our site again abundantly with reviews of your own cars, thank you! Time for a mutual competition, because which of you has the best-read review? These are the 10 most read Car Reviews of 2020!
The Autoreviews on our website often vary considerably. Sometimes these are old cars that have been bought for next to nothing, but they can also be brand new lease cars that have been driven out of the showroom by the current owner. The list below mainly consists of the latter category, because the oldest car in the top 10 is the Audi A3 E-tron from 2015. Furthermore, a lot of attention appears to be paid to the Volkswagen ID3, it appears twice in this list. Also striking: the majority of cars have some form of electrification. Only the Skoda Kodiaq and Volkswagen T-Roc do not have a battery pack on board.
10. Skoda Kodiaq 2.0 TSI 4×4
Not the least Kodiaq!
From a Volvo V70 to a Skoda Kodiaq: Techzle reader ‘MLX715’ did it. The Kodiaq in question is not the first version, because it is a 190 hp 2.0 TSI with four-wheel drive. The review is quite extensive and the bottom line is that the car is still very good after having been in possession for 10 months. The final verdict does not lie with 4.8 out of 5 stars!
Mazda 3 Skyactiv-X 2.0 180
The Mazda 3 is a welcome guest at the car reviews. The gray copy of Techzle reader ‘Mazdarati 3’ (aptly named) was very successful. The review is very extensive and contains 5 updates, the last of which was written in October at a mileage of 32,000 km. The strikingly contoured Mazda functions to full satisfaction and that is why the score is also in this case a 4.8.
8. Volkswagen ID3 58 kWh 1ST Plus
Currently, the Volkswagen ID3 has been leading the list of ‘best-selling new cars’ by some margin for a while. That also means that the car reviews of the popular EV from Wolfsburg are increasingly trickling in. Techzle reader ‘De Tevreden Automobilist24’ has the second most viewed review of the ID3, because the EV returns to place 5 again. The review is based on a test drive with the ID3, but contains comparisons with the E -Golf. The ID3 does not appear to be progress in all respects.
7. Ford Kuga PHEV ST-Line X
Unfortunately, the experience with the Kuga turned out not to be completely without problems.
The Ford Kuga PHEV was not exactly unspoken this year. This Techzle reader experienced this firsthand. On 28 August he / she received the keys, but after a week it was no longer possible to drive electrically. After that, the review is mainly a description of the communication between the relevant owner and Ford. Apart from the problem with the battery, there were more things going on with the Kuga. Performance and comfort are satisfactory, but scores for reliability and running costs keep the Kuga at two and a half stars.
6. Volkswagen T-Roc 1.5 TSI
Remarkably, the T-Roc from Techzle reader William is the only conventional Volkswagen in this list. He may certainly be there, because as Business R with the 1.5 TSI, this is certainly not an entry-level model. The last update dates from March this year, with more than 8,400 kilometers behind it. The crossover receives the maximum score on all points. The T-Roc scores one star less on costs alone, although William freely admits that this is mainly due to his own right foot.
5. Volkswagen ID3 58 kWh 1ST Max
Techzle reader ‘Rroelie7’ dared to take the gamble: without having driven a meter with it, he ordered the most expensive version of the ID3. He already drove the e-Golf, so when it comes to the drive, the switch was not very radical anymore. He describes that the ID3 has deteriorated in terms of quality feeling, but nevertheless a satisfied impression dominates. The review does not report major problems with the software, but the navigation in particular can be a bit faster. This is also evident from the score, because the ID3 gets 4.3 stars.
4. MG ZS EV Luxury
The fully electric ZS EV is the first MG to return to the Netherlands. More than 3,000 copies of the SUV have already been sold in the Netherlands, which is more than the old school MGs sold in the Netherlands since 1983. Given the 4.3-star rating, this Techzle reader is happy with its ZS EV, despite the fact that there were some concerns. One of these, the amount of beeps that the safety systems gave, has already been resolved via an over-the-air update.
3. Audi A3 Sportback 1.4 TFSI e-tron
A used plug-in hybrid, how do you like that?
This Audi A3 E-tron is the only car from the top 10 that has a year of production before 2019. That makes this review absolutely no less interesting, on the contrary, because the Techzle reader bought the E-tron used with 106,000 kilometers on the counter . The review is quite extensive and also gives an overview of the costs. With a score of 4.5, the plug-in hybrid used seems to have been a good choice for this Techzle reader to date.
2. Toyota RAV4 2.5 Hybrid AWD
Toyota should normally stand for reliability, but this Techzle reader has different experiences with its RAV4. After a Mazda 6, BMW 3 Series and Volkswagen Passat, he switched to the Toyota SUV. The overall impression is good, but the RAV4 does not score particularly on the level of detail. In addition, the owner had to visit the dealer three times in the first 5 months to resolve certain issues. Incidentally, he was satisfied with the service there. A critical review, but nevertheless the RAV4 comes away with 3 stars.
1. Audi e-tron 50 Quattro
With remote options!
The best-read car reviews of the year is this Audi E-tron 50 Quattro. The review contains several updates, also about the range, but also covers one new element of Audi: Functions on Demand. According to the writer of the review, this function works well, but he had to set the language of the MyAudi app to ‘German’ in October. The service has now also been launched in the Netherlands. The E-tron is apparently satisfactory, because the score is 4.5 out of 5 stars!
