Toyota assists medical world during corona crisis

After Volvo and Land Rover, Toyota also indicates that it wants to contribute to the fight against the corona virus. The brand is going to help in many different ways.

Toyota says that it is very impressed by the consequences of the pandemic and is taking the initiative in several areas to get rid of COVID-19. According to the Japanese, some initiatives have already been taken up, others are now being prepared. They are all aimed at supporting the medical world. For example, like the aforementioned colleagues, Toyota will make 3D-printed frames for face-protecting masks. This is done at the Teiho factory in Japan with a production volume of approximately 600 units per week. Toyota still wants to scale up the volume.

In addition, Toyota is sending its engineers out to support Japanese medical equipment manufacturers and looking into the possibility of building necessary equipment, such as hospital beds. Furthermore, Japan’s largest automaker plans to assist with the transportation of infected patients and to assist in the purchase of hygiene products and thermometers.
