Toyota adds a 2.0 four-cylinder engine to the GR Supra range. The new engine has less power than the six-cylinder engine, but also weighs less.

Toyota is expanding the GR Supra engine offering with a 258 hp and 400 Nm 2.0 2.0-cylinder engine. Like the six-cylinder in the sports coupe, it comes from BMW and is linked to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The GR Supra accelerates with the new engine from 0 to 100 km / h in 5.2 seconds and has a limited top speed of 250 km / h.

The new block weighs 100 kilograms less and that improves the driving characteristics of the car. To maintain the ideal 50 percent front and 50 percent rear weight distribution with the lighter engine, Toyota has made various changes.

The GR Supra 2.0 is available in two Launch versions, the equipment of which consists in any case of a multimedia system with an 8.8-inch touchscreen, Alcantara upholstery on the seats, 18-inch alloy wheels and various active driver assistance systems.

Toyota will announce prices next month and sales will start in March.
