Modern Isetta for sale this year

Toyota and Lexus importer Louwman adds a very remarkable electric four-wheeler to its portfolio. It brings the electric Microlino – which can best be described as an electric Isetta of the 21st century – to the Netherlands!
This year you can also step into the Microlino in the Netherlands. You probably remember the Microlino. It is a miniscule electric city car whose design is clearly inspired by that of the Iso/BMW Isetta of the 1950s. Just like that one bubble car the Microlino has a large door at the front that provides access to the trolley. Unlike its distant ancestors, the Microlino does not have a two-stroke engine, but a modest electric powertrain.
The Microlino is an electric urban two-seater developed by Swiss company Micro Mobility Systems and built in Italy. The actually called Microlino 2.0 city EV and exists in several flavors. It always has a 17 hp and 89 Nm strong electric motor with which the Microlino can reach a speed of up to 90 km/h. It is available with a 6 kWh, 10.5 kWh or 14 kWh battery pack, good for an electric range of 95, 175 or 230 kilometers in succession. The 6 kWh battery can be charged with up to 1.35 kW with power, the two larger packs can be charged with up to 2.6 kW. The 6 kWh variant weighs 496 kilos, the variants with 10.5 kWh and 14 kWh battery weigh 513 and 5130 kilos. We consider the chance that you can leave the Microlino in front of the door quite high. With its length of 2.52 meters, it is almost as long as the primal Smart CitiCoupé. The luggage compartment measures a very decent 230 liters for a car of this size.
We do not yet know which flavors will become available in the Netherlands and what the Microlino will cost here, but it seems certain that electric ‘cars’ such as the Opel Rocks Electric have gained a mischievous competitor. After the summer, the Microlino will come to the Netherlands.
At the end of last year, AutoWeek could exclusively show you new body styles of the Microlino. We never heard from those open and order versions of the Microlino 2.0.
