Sporty foursome complete

We don’t have to hope for more models from Toyota that carry the GR label for the time being. According to the Japanese, the series is complete with the current foursome.
Toyota gives shape to the creed in various waysno more boring cars‘. Not only by coming up with more exciting designs, but especially by providing the sporty branch Gazoo Racing for downright spectacular cars. There were two cars that carry the GR label as standard because of their sporty character, the GR Supra and the GR86, but also two models that have been taken to a new level by GR, the GR Yaris and GR Corolla. This completes the circle, explains the man who stood at the cradle of the GR86 opposite the Australian drive.
Yasunori Suezawa, the man in question, lets go that we don’t have to count on more GR models for the time being. “This is the last one”, he says about ‘his’ GR86. So we can give up all hopes of a crazy GR C-HR, a GR Yaris Cross with 261 hp three-cylinder or even a GR Aygo X for the time being. There are limits, also for Toyota. Toyota therefore lets a hard-hitting sporty top version of an SUV or crossover pass by, unlike, for example, Volkswagen with the T-Roc R, Hyundai with the Kona N and Ford with the Puma ST.
If it all needs to be a little more exciting, there’s GR Sport, Suezawa emphasizes. Here in the Netherlands, that label has already been stuck on the C-HR and Yaris Cross. Incidentally, it is about more than just sporty decoration, because the chassis and steering of a GR Sport version is just a bit more sporty than usual.
