Triumph has expanded its 400cc Modern Classic platform with a third model: the Scrambler 400 XC, which, according to the British, adds more off -road capacities to the rugged style of the scrambler.
According to Triumph, the Scrambler 400 XC is designed with authentic materials and with meticulous attention to detail, and has to strive for quality with a leading finish. From the black powder -coated engine housing and mechanically processed cooling ribs to the cast aluminum swingarm and the gold anodized front fork, the venom is thus triumph really in the details.
The design seamlessly combines traditional elements, such as the rising damper with modern characteristics such as hidden liquid cooling, resulting in an unmistakable Triumph Modern Classic style, but now with a clearly rough spirit compared to the Scrambler X announced in the second half of 2023.
In terms of technical specifications, the two 400 scramblers do not escape each other, but in appearance of the lake. Where the Scrambler 400 x introduced early last year did not really have an off -road look, but the new Scrambler 400 XC certainly has that subcutaneous (to a certain extent).
Starting with the design, which thanks to the high front fender, the start number shield above and the grid for the headlight has been given a much cooler look. Add to that the beautiful tubeless spoke wheels with aluminum rims and you immediately listed all the adjustments. It may not seem much, but is more than enough to conjure up a completely different model.
In addition to the above differences, both Scrambler 400 models are virtually identical. Both models are powered by the same 400cc single -cylinder, which is specified for a top power of 40 hp at 8,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 37.5 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The block is equipped with Bosch Ride-by-Wire motor management, has a six-speed gearbox with a slip-assist clutch and a stainless double-walled header system with double stainless steel exhaust damper.
The block is mounted in a steel backbone frame, with a non -adjustable Showa Big Piston 43 mm upside down front fork and a Showa Monoshock with Piggyback reservoir, the spring priority of which can be adjusted. For improved off-road ergonomics, the Scrambler 400 models are equipped with footrests with a lot of grip that are positioned for a natural standing driving position.
The radial caliper with 4 pistons, the large pre-disc of 320 mm and the optimized brake block composition must provide reliable, powerful and progressive brake performance under all circumstances, while the double tubeless tires, together with the switched-off traction control and a special off-road ABS mode, ensure that the road also trusts.
“The Triumph Scrambler 400 XC is a huge hit with customers in India and there is a clear demand for this model in the rest of the world. With its improved off-road capacity and scrambler-attitude, plus three new, stylish colors, we hope that this model will be further addressed for the next generation.”
According to Triumph customers, the Scrambler 400 offers an exceptional value thanks to the low fixed costs, including leading 16,000 km of service intervals and a standard two-year warranty with unlimited number of kilometers. This combination of low usage costs, long maintenance intervals and an extensive warranty makes the Scrambler 400 XC an ideal companion for both starting and experienced motorcyclists. Thus Triumph.
