Triumph unveils 2025 Modern Classic Icon Editions

It has been 100 years since the logo last appeared on a tank and now it appears in a limited edition on seven striking and iconic Modern Classics. With their premium finish and unmistakable character, the new Triumph models pay tribute to the brand’s rich history.

Seven models are available, each with their individual combination of Sapphire Black with Aluminum Silver that completes their authentic and original design. They each have a hand-painted outline and exclusive graphics in which the logo of yesteryear stands out.

The striking designs capture the essence of the original models and add character thanks to the specific color schemes. Ranging from the acclaimed elegance of the Bonneville T100 and T120 to the cool attitude of the Scrambler 900, 1200

Triumph Motorcycles’ Chief Commercial Officer Paul Stroud:

“Triumph Modern Classics are known for their original style, high quality, premium finish and contemporary performance. It is that authenticity, coupled with the history and passion embodied in the 1907 logo, that will appeal to a wide audience of young and older riders. With their striking new color schemes, specific graphics and special logos, the Icon Editions bridge the gap between history, style and modern performance. Perfect for riders who appreciate classic style and want to combine it with modern technology.”

In 1902 the logo was more of an emblem. The heraldic shield contained the name of the company, Triumph Cycle Co. Ltd and the name of the city where production was taking place at the time, Coventry. This emblem was replaced in 1907 by a written logo, the Triumph word mark. Although it was only used for seven years, this version of the Triumph logo appears in many custom designs, is used on collectibles and some fans have even had it tattooed on their bodies.

With the addition of the word ‘Motors’ in 1915, the logo design took another step forward, with Triumph returning to the coat of arms in the 1920s, this time in colour. In 1932, they briefly opted for an oval-shaped logo that included a globe, but in 1934 Triumph returned to the word mark again, this time with a new font and only capital letters. That logo was updated in 1936 with a more modern font and new borders and was used that way for the 50 years that followed.

In 1990, a blue version was introduced as a subtle evolution of the brand, which was then refreshed again in 2005 by omitting the edge. In 2013, the first versions of the logo as we know it today appeared, with a modern black version of the word mark and the accompanying triangle. It is the 1907 version of the logo that is now being revived for 2025 and shines on the Icon Editions.

According to Triumph, the Icon Editions are built with extreme precision and an eye for detail. They combine a unique design with high quality and technology. Each Icon Edition has its own color scheme that is a combination of Sapphire Black and Aluminum Silver, with side panels that are beautifully finished and match the fuel tank perfectly.

Every elegant line and all the beautifully shaped details that give the Modern Classics their own unique silhouette are beautifully accentuated by the hand-painted black or gold line that separates the two color areas. The addition of the iconic logo and the words ‘Icon Edition’ on the tank and on the side panels gives each model even extra appeal

Triumph has released an Icon Edition of each of the Modern Classic models, being the Bonneville T100 Icon Edition, Bonneville T120 Icon Edition, Scrambler 900 Icon Edition, Scrambler 1200 not least the Bonneville Speedmaster Icon Edition. The engines will be available from dealers from December 2024.
