Many people are bothered by it: the typing sound of a tablet or smartphone. Turn it off and you can continue typing in peace.
Mute keystroke sound
It can be quite a nuisance for yourself and those around you; the sound of the keystrokes on the tablet or phone. Below are the steps for both Android tablet and Android smartphone.
Galaxy Tab A (Android 7.0 and 8.0)
- Tap on apps.
- Tap on Institutions.
- Tap on Sound.
- Slide the bar behind “Keyboard Sound” to the left so it turns gray.
You can now type silently.
Galaxy S (Android 7.0, 8.0 and 9.0)
For Android 7.0, tap apps. With Android 8.0 and 9.0, swipe from bottom to top on the screen to open the app overview.
- Tap on Institutions.
- Tap on Sound and vibration.
- With Android 9.0 you now first tap System sounds and vibration.
- Slide the bar behind “Keyboard Sound” to the left so it turns gray.
You can now type silently.
