The social network has rolled out a new option to blur sensitive images you post and display a warning to other users.
Twitter strengthens its security measures and deploys a new function to limit the display of sensitive content. The social network offers all its users a new option allowing them to display a warning, and to blur the photos and videos they share, the content of which is likely to offend certain sensibilities.
The option to add one-time sensitive content warnings to photos and videos you Tweet is now available for everyone across Android, iOS, and web.
To add a content warning, tap the flag icon when editing the photo/video after you’ve attached it to your Tweet.

This option, which must be manually activated by the author of a tweet, is available both on the web and on the Android or iOS mobile application. Thus, when a user decides to click on content considered sensitive by the person who shared it, the photo or video then remains constantly displayed, even if it remains possible to hide it again.
If this function can be quite useful, especially in these troubled times, let’s hope that it is not misused to generate clicks from certain twittos.
Either way, if you need to share content that you consider potentially sensitive, here’s how to display a warning.
