Update iPadOS over 5G
From one support document shows that it is possible to update iPadOS from the iPad Pro 2021 via 5G. In the document that Apple recently published, the company elaborates on the use of 5G internet connection in combination with the latest iPad Pro.
If there is coverage in an area for the faster internet connection and your data bundle supports this, it is possible to use 5G with the iPad Pro 2021. You can then use the internet and install apps via the faster internet connection.
With the option ‘Allow More Data on 5G’ you can indicate as a user that you want to apply the faster connection more often. This way you also directly add the option to update via 5G iPadOS. However, keep in mind that enabling this option will tax your data bundle more heavily. It is therefore important to check whether your bundle is suitable for this.
In addition to the regular 5G connection, there are also regions where a 5G + or 5G UW icon appears in the status bar, which means a connection on higher frequencies. However, this higher speed is available in only a limited number of areas, including America.

The new iPad Pro 2021 was announced last April and comes in two sizes. The entry-level model with 11 inch screen costs 899 euros and does not have a mini LED screen. The larger version with 12.9 inch display does switch to mini LED and costs 1219 euros. The tablet has been officially on sale since Friday 21 May. A small surcharge applies for a unit with 5G function.
