Vaulteq: Dutch password manager stores data within the border

The App Store has a new password manager. Vaulteq is a password app from the Netherlands that also stores all your data on Dutch servers.

Vaulteq, a Dutch password manager

With services like LastPass and 1Password, there are plenty of apps that allow you to securely store passwords. Nevertheless, this service is unique in its kind, because all data is stored on Dutch servers. These are therefore protected by Dutch data legislation.

The servers themselves are secure with two-step verification and so-called client side AES 256-bit encryption. The app runs on open source techniques as much as possible, which makes it easy for developers to check for security.

Vaulteq: Dutch password manager stores data within the border

You can see Vaulteq as a digital safe. Here you come up with an (extra strong) master password, so that you can then store all your other passwords in it. To provide extra security for your online accounts, the app automatically generates strong passwords that are then automatically entered. This way you don’t have to constantly come up with a difficult password yourself.

Every time you start the app, use the master password or the Touch ID sensor on your iPhone to log in. Because the service works on both iOS and Mac, your login details are synced across all your devices.

Vaulteq Premium

You can download and use Vaulteq for free, and if you like the service you can consider the Premium edition. For 2.99 euros per month, your passwords are also synchronized on other devices and your laptop. This also gives you access to the browser extension. Vaulteq Premium is free to try for 30 days. We are also working on a new version for business teams.
