Also comes as Maxi and Combi again
Volkswagen Caddy
Volkswagen presents a completely new model of the Caddy after 16 years. No screw is the same as the old model, which is still sold until the end of the year.
The Caddy finally makes the switch to the MQB platform of Volkswagen, on which just about all Volkswagen models are being built. The Caddy is therefore prepared for hybrid and electric propulsion, but for the time being it simply comes with diesel engines. They are all prepared for the new, strict Euro6d exhaust gas standard and, according to the provisional figures, have become up to 12 percent more efficient. Volkswagen will deliver the engines with power ratings from 75 to 122 hp. In addition, a TGI natural gas version is again part of the line-up.
The new Caddy is more spacious than before. The wheelbase has increased by more than 7 centimeters and the load space has become higher and wider. The volume now measures 3.3 m3, that of the extended Caddy Maxi even 4.0 m3. As a result, two Euro pallets can be used in the latter. The load space of the Caddy can be locked separately, reducing the risk of theft.
Driving aids
Volkswagen supplies no less than 19 different driver assistance systems, including cruise control with remote radar and trailer assist. You can also see in the interior that the Caddy makes a leap in time. The company car can be ordered optionally with a 10-inch information display and a digital instrument panel. The driver and passengers sit on AGR approved seats.
The design is of course completely new, with particular attention to the design options. With spray-painted bumpers, a high-gloss black grille, light-alloy wheels and some other decoration, there is suddenly a completely different car. The practical basic versions are more as we know the Caddy, although you can easily recognize the new model by the vertically placed rear lights. The Caddy Combi person version (photo 5 and 6) has a tailgate instead of doors.
The new Caddy comes on the market at the end of this year, the Caddy Maxi coming early 2021.
