Volkswagen is preparing a festive edition of the Golf GTI Clubsport. It listens to the name ’45’ and that number does not just come out of the blue.
On these leaked images, which we’re thanks to Cochespias before our nose, we see a Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport with some (very) light, external changes. For example, the car seems to have new alloy wheels and just above the side skirts there are different stickers than usual. It also says ’45’ on the car. This is undoubtedly a reference to the 45th anniversary of the first Golf GTI. It came on the market in 1976.
Undoubtedly, Volkswagen will draw the curtain on this special GTI Clubsport itself sometime in the coming weeks. It is probably a limited edition that will also have the necessary references to the 45th anniversary of the first Golf GTI in the interior. If he keeps it technically the same, there is a 300 hp and 400 Nm strong 2.0 TSI in the nose, which the Golf shoots to a speed of 100 km / h in less than 6 seconds. It also has, among other things, larger brake discs than the regular GTI and the Clubsport is a bit closer to the ground. More coming soon!
