Next year, Volkswagen will finally launch the ID Buzz, an electric commercial vehicle with strong design influences from the original Volkswagen vans. On a new set of spy records, that ID Buzz is better than ever seen.

The run-up to the market launch of the Volkswagen ID Buzz is a long one. A very long one. It’s been nearly five years since the ID Buzz Concept buzzed into the Detroit Auto Show, but the electric bus is still not on the market. That will finally change next year.

These espionage plates show an ID Buzz, only partly covered with camouflage, which is being subjected to cold tests in the far north of Sweden near the Arctic Circle. Although the final front of the ID Buzz is not yet fully visible, Volkswagen already gave away last month how the retro muzzle of the electric bus eventually dries up. The loading opening of the ID Buzz is located in the left front fender and the passenger version visible in these photos has at least an apparently narrow sliding door on the left. We expect the same copy on the right. Striking is the short, blunt nose of the ID Buzz. At the rear, the car, which is also an order version in the form of the ID Cargo, seems to show some similarities with the new Volkswagen Multivan.

From next year, the Volkswagen ‘van range’ will suddenly include a lot of models. Volkswagen decided to make a separate model of the Multivan and recently presented a wattle of a van-like MPV with that name. In addition, Volkswagen supplies the Transporter, the company car that you can get as a delivery and passenger version. In addition, there are also the ID Buzz and the ID Cargo, cars that, in addition to their retro design, also distinguish themselves from their spacious brothers and sisters with their electric drivetrains.
