The Volkswagen ID3 is available with various electric powertrains. The ID3 Pure has a 45 kWh battery and a 150 hp electric motor on the rear axle. The electric Volkswagen is also available as a Pro, a version with a 58 kWh battery pack in its base and a 145 hp or 204 hp electric motor. New is the Volkswagen ID3 Pro S, the version with a 77 kWh battery, which was announced at the launch of the electric ID3.
According to the manufacturer, the ID3 Pro S squeezes 553 WLTP kilometers from its 77 kWh battery. This makes it logically the ID3 with the largest range. The Pure and Pro come to 349 and 426 kilometers respectively on a single charge. Volkswagen supplies the ID3 Pure S only with the strongest electric motor it has on the shelves, the 204 hp unit that helps the electric hatchback reach a speed of 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds. On a 125 kW charger, the battery pack of the ID3 Pro S can be filled with power from 5 to 80 percent of its capacity in just under 40 minutes.

The new Volkswagen ID3 Pro S has a price of €41,390. This makes it €4,200 more expensive than the ID3 Pro with 204 hp electric motor for which Volkswagen asks €37,190. The ID3 Pro with the 145 hp electric motor costs €35,690. The starting price of the Volkswagen ID3 is €32,990. For that amount you drive the ID3 Pure. Volkswagen may eventually add a GTX version to the delivery range of the ID3. After all, the electric Volkswagen ID4 already has such a sportier variant and the first test kilometers are already being driven in Wolfsburg with a prototype called ID.X.
