Starting this summer, Volvo will change its terms and conditions of the warranty on original parts. Once an item has been replaced, the owner gets a lifetime warranty on that part.
From now on, the Swedish brand is meeting its customers considerably by offering a lifetime warranty on its parts. There is one major side note: it is not about parts that are put into the car from the production line, but about parts that have already been replaced once. Volvo’s new starting point is that customers never have to pay a second time to replace the same part.
The lifetime parts warranty of course only applies to parts produced and assembled by Volvo itself. The starting date of this new scheme is for parts from 1 June 2020. The guarantee does not apply to accessories, merchandise, service and wear parts and parts that must be replaced periodically according to factory instructions. There is no mileage limit and the warranty is valid as long as the Volvo is in the possession of the customer.
