You could easily come across the Volvo EX30 on every street later this year. Volvo’s potential success has now been tackled by the German Heico Sportiv.
The Volvo EX30 has the potential to be quite successful in Europe. It is therefore not surprising that the companies that aftermarket extras have the EX30 in their sights. To be fair: Heico Sportiv is not the first tuner to focus on the Volvo EX30, Everlast Customs from Niels van Roij already preceded the Germans. What does Heico Sportiv have to offer?
First of all, no extra power. Heico Sportiv leaves the electric drivetrain of the Volvo EX30 untouched, so it is purely about external extras. The company puts the Volvo EX30 on 20- or 21-inch ten-spoke alloy wheels or on five-spoke wheels with a 21-inch diameter. According to Heico Sportiv, an EX30 on one of its sets of wheels is ‘noticeably more dynamic’ than a standard example. The wheels are slightly lighter than the ones that Volvo itself offers. Heico Sportiv has developed a set of sports springs for the Volvo EX30 that bring the car about 3 centimeters closer to the asphalt.
The tuner has so-called spacers are on the shelves to increase the track width and the company can, for a fee, exchange the Volvo lettering on the tailgate for a written-out version of its own brand name: Heico. Custom bumper work? That is not available yet, but Heico Sportiv does indicate that it has a complete ‘breathtaking’ body kit in the pipeline.
