Electric SUV, MPV and sedan on the way
The list of Chinese brands that sell electric cars in the Netherlands has become longer again. The Chinese Voyah has introduced the Free in the Netherlands, an electric SUV for which you have to pay almost 75 grand. But there’s more! Voyah is also bringing an electric MPV and an electric sedan to the Netherlands.
Voyah is a brand of the Chinese colossus Dongfeng. Dongfeng has marketed Voyah as a so-called premium brand, so you don’t have to count on extremely friendly price tags. The brand’s first car to come onto the market in the Netherlands is the Free, which costs €74,150.
Voyah Free
The Voyah Free is a 4.91 meter long, 1.95 meter wide and 1.69 meter high SUV with a wheelbase of 2.96 meters. Although the Free also exists as a plug-in hybrid elsewhere in the world, the Voyah Free only comes to the Netherlands as an EV. The electric and four-wheel drive Voyah Free has 490 hp and 720 Nm and has a battery pack with a capacity of no less than 106 kWh (100 kWh net). This combination gives the SUV a WLTP range of 500 kilometers. It is also fast: you can reach a speed of 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds. Its top speed: 200 km/h. The Free can tow up to 2,000 kilos and can, among other things, charge bidirectionally. Fast charging is possible with a maximum of 100 kWh. The luggage compartment measures 550 to – with the rear seats flat – 1,320 liters.
Voyah Free
The Free was designed by the Italian ItalDesign Giugiaro and offers an interesting visual attraction on the inside when you put the five-seater in sports mode. According to Voyah, the entire dashboard then drops slightly, so that you have a better view forward. The dashboard itself contains three 12.3-inch displays and the Free offers pampering such as heated and ventilated seats with massage function. A 360-degree camera, Night Vision and things such as a semi-autonomous driving system, a dashcam and an automatic parking function are all included.
You can order immediately. The first copies of the Voyah Free will be delivered in the first quarter.
Voyah Dream

The Free is not the only model that Voyah is bringing to the Netherlands. It also brings the Dream to the Dutch market. The Voyah Dream is an electric four-wheel drive MPV that extends over a distance of 5.3 meters. The colossus has a 108 kWh battery, can travel up to 480 kilometers and is capable of reaching a speed of 100 km/h from a standstill in 5.9 seconds. This car was also designed by the design house of Giugiaro. The Voyah Dream will also be launched next year, although its prices are not yet known.

Is there more? Certainly. Voyah promises to bring another model to the Netherlands in 2024: the Passion. The Voyah Passion is an electric sedan of about 5 meters long. It will have 510 hp and should be able to travel no less than 650 kilometers on a full battery. This low Voyah sprints to a speed of 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds.
