You come across the fully electric Volvo XC40 Recharge more and more and that is not surprising, given the sales figures. This model is now joined by the fully electric Volvo C40 Recharge. Both can be admired until January 26, 2022 in the Volvo Studio in the Westfield Mall in Leidschendam. There you will learn everything about these models and about Volvo’s electric plans for the future. You can also sign up for a test drive with the fully electric XC40 and C40 Recharge.
Volvo already announced a few years ago that all models would be electrified. This clear and sustainable vision has led to a wide range of hybrid and plug-in hybrid Volvos. In addition, models with a fully electric powertrain appeared, such as the successful Volvo XC40 Recharge. The sporty-lined Volvo C40 Recharge is now added to this. In order to introduce as many people as possible to all the benefits of electric driving, Volvo has set up a studio in a typical Scandinavian atmosphere, where experts can answer all your questions.
Watch and drive
The new Volvo C40 Recharge is of course central to the Volvo Studio in Leidschendam, but you will also learn everything about Volvo’s electric plans for the future. The Volvo XC40 Recharge can also be admired in the Volvo Studio and even experienced during a test drive. Warning in advance: after your first introduction to electric driving, you won’t want anything else! The silence, the pulling power and the shock-free driving make a big impression, is the experience. The two powerful electric motors drive all four wheels, for safe and neutral handling and optimum grip in all conditions. From the end of this year, the C40 Recharge can also be admired, tested and ordered from the dealers.
In 2030 only electric Volvos
Volvo Cars has the most drastic sustainability policy of any automaker worldwide. By 2025, half of all Volvos sold must be electric, by 2030 only new, fully electric cars must roll off the production line and by 2040 Volvo Cars must be a climate neutral company. It is an ambition in which Volvo Cars involves its own chain partners, governments and energy producers.
Volvo: number 1 plug brand in the Netherlands
Volvo plans to launch an entirely new line of all-electric cars in the coming years, with at least one electric Volvo launching each year. In the last year, sales of electric models have already doubled to 25 percent worldwide. Now no less than 50 percent of Volvo’s sold in the Netherlands are powered entirely electrically or via plug-in hybrid technology. With three fully electric vehicles and 15 plug-in hybrid variants, Volvo is the number 1 ‘plug brand’ in the Netherlands.
