Watching television with NLZIET

Don’t be afraid to miss a program on television. With NLZIET you never have to choose between two programs broadcasting at the same time. For example, you can watch Chateau Meiland, Ik Departure and the Voice of Holland final or any other program from NPO, RTL and SBS. This is how you create your own television evening. Programs can be viewed live, afterwards and in some cases you can already watch episodes ahead. A subscription costs 7.99 euros per month (price April 2021). The first month is free.

Create an NLZIET account like this:

• Go to www.nlziet.nl
• Click on the top right login (icon of person in a circle) > register now.
• Enter your first and last name.
• Enter your email address twice below.
• Choose a password under ‘Password’.
• Put a tick in front of I agree with the terms and conditions and the privacy statement.
• click on Register.
• Enter your date of birth.

The first time you pay one cent for verification. With this you immediately give permission to debit the subscription costs from your account every month. You will receive a notification two days before the trial period ends and you can cancel free of charge. If you do not do this, the subscription will continue. The subscription can be canceled monthly.

• Choose the payment method at the bottom and click Next one.

NLZIET has an agenda with the programs and times when they are broadcast. You can compare this overview with the television guide from the past.

• Go to www.nlziet.nl and log in.
• Click at the top Watch TV.
• The agenda of all programs on television appears.
• Click on the arrow to the right or left at the top right to also see the television schedule of other channels.
• Select another day if necessary. Click on the top left for this Today and then on the desired day, for example Tomorrow. The calendar appears.

NLZIET does not only contain films and series that are now or soon on television. It is also possible, for example, to watch previous episodes of a series. View the different options via the homepage (tab Home). A list of movies and shows by category appears. For example, ‘Nu op TV’ lists the live broadcasts and ‘Most viewed’ shows the broadcasts with the highest viewing figures. There are also films that were on television or at NPO Plus.

• Want to see more in a category? Then scroll over the last image in a category. An arrow appears.
• Click here to get more viewing suggestions.
• Click on a movie or series to watch it.

Live TV via the tablet or computer is ideal for watching programs at the campsite or in other places where you do not have a TV. Do this like this:

• Click at the top Watch TV.
• The program guide appears. Some broadcasts have the word ‘Live’ in green. These are currently on television. Click on it to watch the broadcast.

It is also possible to save programs that you want to watch later. These are then put together in a handy overview.

• Find a program via the tab Home or Watch TV.
• Scroll over the title of the movie or series.
• Optionally, click on the icon of an i.
• click on watch later or a folder icon with a plus sign inside it.

The program or movie has been added to the list of items to watch. Choose the option at the top watch later to open the list. Then click on a movie or a series to start it.

Sometimes we don’t want to wait for the next episode. But that is not necessary. With NLZIET you can look forward to programs before they have even aired on television.

• Click on the tab Home.
• ‘Look ahead’ lists the television programs that you can already watch. NPO Plus also contains series that are not currently broadcast on television. Click at ‘Looking ahead NPO Plus’ on Show all.
• Click on a program to watch.

Turn on subtitles when needed:

• First, open the movie or program.
• Click the three-dot icon at the top.
• click on Subtitles.

While a program is playing, move the mouse pointer down to pause, stop, or play the entire screen. A bar of functions appears.

• Click on the rectangle at the bottom right to enlarge the screen.
• Click on the two stripes at the bottom left to pause the program.
• Click the triangle at the bottom left to start the program again.
• Stop watching? Click on the cross at the top left.
