Apple has released a new firmware update for the AirPods Pro 3, AirPods Pro 2nd generation and AirPods 4 series. The new version number is 8A358 and, in addition to bug fixes and optimizations, new features have been introduced in iOS 26, including: camera control functions, sleep detection and battery notifications.

You can read up on the Apple website a support document (Dutch) back which improvements and fixes Apple has made and/or new options have been added. The AirPods are automatically provided with the new firmware, but updating manually is unfortunately a difficult job.
