The third week of 2023 has not even passed or we have already received three new Apple products. In addition to the M2 Pro/Max MacBook Pro, we also saw the M2 Mac-mini and the second-generation HomePod appear. And there is still something to do about the latter.
As usual, there are a lot of opinions online, but we prefer to know those of our readers. Time to Weekend poll to get out of the dust again.
A brand new smart speaker
Consumers can expand their Smart Home with Apple’s new HomePod from February 3. Not with the mini model that has been available for some time, but with its bigger brother.
Compared to the previous model, you get better sound quality, Siri options and functionalities. For example, the new smart speaker is capable of using spatial audio.

There are some useful new ways to perform everyday tasks and control your Smart Home. Think, for example, of notifications when a smoke or carbon monoxide detector goes off in your home.
Good. The upgrade is there, but it’s not very big. For example, many consumers hoped that Apple would give the new HomePod a new design. Something that is out of the question.
Is Apple doing good business with its new HomePod?
The question we have is of course what the readers of One More Thing think of the HomePod. Is the innovation big enough to be excited about or is the comeback a storm in a teacup?
To get an answer to that, we would like to ask you to fill in the poll below:
We would love to collect the responses and build an article next week with the results. If you would like to explain your answer or report something else, please let us know in the comments!
