According to current rumors, we can expect new Mac computers with Apple’s latest M4 chip later this year. Although the chip is already available in the iPad Pro, the Pro and Max versions for Mac would mainly be used for advanced tasks and possibly for AI (Apple Intelligence)

According to several rumors, including Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple plans to release the M4 processor in at least three different versions, and will likely add it to the 24-inch iMac and MacBook Pro later this year.

You can now download iOS 17.6. 1, iPadOS 17.6. 1, watchOS 10.6, macOS Sonoma 14.6. 1, and tvOS 17.6 for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac, and Apple TV. The new software updates add stability and resolve various issues.

The new software updates do not add any new features or possibilities. This is just an interim update with, among other things, optimization and security of the devices. New features have been added to iOS 18, iPadOS 18 and macOS Sequoia, which is expected this fall.

Apple may be planning to release two foldable devices in 2026

More and more rumors indicate that Apple may have plans to release foldable devices in the future. The first two examples are expected in 2026. These would be an iPhone and a hybrid iPad/Mac.

Especially the latter is interesting, because it would be the first time that Apple combines two devices into one. How that will look in practice is still guesswork, but it is possible that this Apple device consists of two touch panels that are an iPad when folded and a Mac when unfolded.
