The app is developed by OneLab. This is a group of developers employed by phone manufacturer OnePlus, which is engaged in experimental projects. The app focuses on ‘digital well-being’ and uses a dynamic wallpaper for the phone. The structure of this background is determined by the use of the telephone, with the aim of making the visualization more aware of the telephone.
Each box of the background represents an app type, for example games or business. The larger the box, the more often and the longer you have used the app in question. You can choose from three main designs. By clicking on an item, you will find additional information about its use. You can also set a timer if you want to limit your use. For example, you can specify how much screen time is allowed per day. This time is also visualized in the background.
At the time of writing, WellPaper can divide the apps used into six different categories. It would be nice if this number was expanded or offered the possibility to create your own layouts, so that you can see even more precisely what type of apps are involved.
