Weltmeister Maven Concept sounds promising

The Chinese Weltmeister has presented a brand new study model: the Maven Concept. The study model is a harbinger of a fully electric sedan.

Weltmeister Maven Offer 800 Km (497 Mi) Of Range And May Arrive In 2021Weltmeister is a Chinese manufacturer that focuses solely on the development and production of electric cars. In 2018, the brand launched its first model in the form of the EX5, an SUV later joined by a larger SUV brother. The Chinese consumer who is not fond of SUVs can also go to the brand in the future. With this Maven Concept, Weltmeister looks ahead to the arrival of a fully electric sedan.

There is no doubt that there will be a production model derived from this concept car. Weltmeister firmly says that the car will be in 2021 “[…] is ready for mass production. “Weltmeister is not very generous in his information, but reports that the Maven Concept has a range of 800 kilometers determined according to the not very accurate NEDC cycle. In addition, the almost coupé-like four-door per 100 kilometers would only be 14 kWh This would mean that the nearly five-meter-long Maven Concept has a battery pack of around 110 kWh in its soil. The Maven Concept has a coefficient of drag of 0.23, comparable to that of cars such as Mercedes’ A-class Limousine -Benz.

Of course, the Maven Concept is packed with software and hardware that make the gadget lover’s blood flow faster. Thanks to a package of sensors and cameras, the car must be able to find its way through traffic semi-autonomously (level 3) and, thanks to V2X technology, it can ‘communicate’ with other cars and the infrastructure. In the rather minimalistic-looking interior, we find typical elements that seem to belong to a study model. For example, Weltmeister gives the car a transparent display on top of the dashboard and a steering wheel cut open at the top. Don’t expect such gimmicks back on the final production version. Do not aim for Weltmeister to bring the car to Europe. The still young manufacturer managed to sell more than 15,500 cars in China last year.
