On the tower of Brielle (60 meters high) I found this small crowd of insects behind a door. They seem to be there for a few weeks (place to hibernate?) but then they have disappeared again.
Can someone lead me into this for me dark world?

Dear Pete,
I’m afraid the photo doesn’t show enough detail to identify the insects. If the photo is enlarged very strongly, the quality will be much too low. Can you either send me a better (ie more detailed) photo, or better yet, put some of the critters in a jar with alcohol (ethanol, nail polish remover, or some hard liquor like rum, whiskey,…etc, so anything that contains a lot of alcohol to preserve the animals) and send it to me, then I can identify the insects.
