They are such stripes that look like scars but are not and are mainly on the left and right side of the breasts. I was wondering what that is, and if it can do any harm?
Answer
Dear Nina,
Those stretch marks arise because the skin there has to stretch too quickly due to the natural growth of your breasts. There is little or nothing you can do about this and once they are there they will not go away. The connective tissue in that place is torn and will not be able to return to its original shape.
In the places you describe, the pulling force is the greatest on your skin and so welts will appear there. A sturdy bra can help with this, as can a good moisturizer. This phenomenon can still occur in later pregnancies.
Kind regards,
