While walking in a meadow next to my house, I saw this beetle. I took a picture of it and wanted to find out what kind it was. I have not found this. Do you know what kind it is?

Dear Sebastian,
these are two different species of ground beetles (Carabidae). Based on this photo it is difficult to determine which species are involved. There are many good images of Carabidae on the internet and I mention a nice website in that regard below. If you compare your beetles with these photos, you’ll come a long way.
