Do you know Singer? The American company has been building expensive restomods for years: classic Porsches with a modern sauce. The cars are so beautiful to drool over and finished with the precision of a Swiss watchmaker. Also this Singer Porsche 911 Turbo again, which beautifully brings the eighties to the present.
At first glance, the Singer appears to be an original Porsche 911 Turbo (930), but that is deceiving. It is on the chassis of the later Porsche 964 and only shares the doors with the 930. The other body parts are made of carbon fiber, not steel. In the engine compartment is a six-cylinder boxer developed by Singer with air cooling, based in part on the legendary 3.8-litre Metzger block. The original 911 Turbo had one turbo and an output of 330 horsepower. The Singer has two turbos of the latest 911 generation (the 992) and produces no less than 450 hp. You shift with a manual six-speed gearbox.

And there’s more to choose from: do you want rear-wheel drive or 4WD and do you want a hardcore track machine or a comfortable GT? Whichever variant you take, the Singer is always finished to pass through a ring. The interior is original 911, but taken to a much higher level. With Singer, it’s the little details that matter: you probably didn’t even notice that the 911 Turbo has much bigger wheels than the original and that the huge wing is Singer’s own design.
