Microsoft is rolling out the Windows 10 update that includes the News widget in the taskbar. Here’s how to get it right now.

After several weeks of testing in the developer channel of its Insider program, the widget News and fields of interest (that’s its official name) which is added to the Windows taskbar is about to be available to all users.
Microsoft has just started the deployment of the optional update KB5003214 for Windows 10 version 2004, Windows 10 version 20H2 and Windows 10 version 21H1, which includes the famous widget.
The update should be offered directly in Windows Update but remains optional for the time being. It does not therefore settle without action on your part.
Also to discover in video:
1. Open Windows Update
To take advantage of the new widget news and interests in the Windows taskbar, you must manually start the installation of the optional update KB5003214 from Windows Update.
To do this, click on the Start menu and open Windows Settings. Go to the Update and security menu, then to the Windows Update section.

2. Install the optional update
Click Check for Updates. If the Optional quality update KB5003214 is offered to you, click on Download and install.

If it doesn’t appear in the Optional Updates menu, you’ll still need to be patient while you wait for Windows Update to offer it to you for download.
3. Restart your computer
When the KB5003214 update is finished downloading, click Restart to start its installation and restart your computer.

After restarting, the widget News and interests displaying the weather should proudly take pride of place in the Windows 10 taskbar. One click is enough to deploy it.

And if, however, you no longer wish to see it appear, right-click on the taskbar, enter the News and fields of interest menu and click on Disable.
