Enough parties that have focused on motorcycle holidays, but two Britons have started a unique Motorcycle Experience company. Woodcote Events offers customers a premium motorcycle trip, where you are accompanied by not the least names from British motorsport.

After 15 years with Triumph, Gareth Bright, together with BSB and FIM EWC driver Dan Linfoot, have launched Woodcote Events, named after Dan’s favorite corner at Silverstone.
For the last six years of his career at Triumph as Global Events Manager, Gareth was responsible for all model launches and disclosures to the global press.
“My job was to launch press releases of new models in different countries, in the hope that the world press would write rave about the models. I planned the entire event, including setting out the routes and selecting the hotels. For a For an even more impressive impression, I developed the concept of inviting well-known drivers to accompany the press during these events. These were the new front and rear drivers and the press loved it.”
Gareth and Dan, one of the drivers who served as a front driver at press launches, realized that events like this weren’t really there for the general public yet.
“During the lockdown, we saw an opportunity to push the boundaries of motorcycle holidays. While it’s already being done in the 4 wheeler industry, no one seemed to offer it on 2 wheels. We want to bring the same premium experience to everyone who loves it to ride his own bike in stunning locations worldwide and meet some of his racing heroes.”
The added advantage is that Woodcote Events organizes everything, including the transport of the motorcycle, so that you are completely unburdened.
Some of the experiences Gareth and Dan have worked on include the famous Ronda road in Spain, the N2 in Portugal, the Furka and Stelvio pass in Switzerland and Italy and the Transfagarasan and Transalpina pass in Romania.
The list of drivers who will be taking part is impressive: Steve Parrisch, Niall MacKenzie, Taylor MacKenzie, Maria Costello MBE, James Witham, Jenny Tinmouth, Michael Laverty and of course Dan Linfoot. Many of these names have worked with Gareth at Triumph press events.
A typical day with Woodcote Events consists of driving between 10:30 AM and 3:30 AM, including a stop for lunch where all food and drink is included. The participants are accompanied by forerunners and followers who accompany them on the routes. Unlike press releases, this time they are not to set the pace, that is up to the participants themselves.
At the end of the afternoon you still have the opportunity to explore the area yourself or to enjoy the facilities of the hotel. In the evening there is a joint dinner, where the professional drivers rejoin. Of course there is also a “Tales from the Track” conversation with Q&A with the drivers.
