Xiaomi is launching a new mid-range phone. The Xiaomi Civi is the first in its series and focuses on design. The device is only 7mm thick and comes with striking colors and a glass back.

The new Xiaomi Civi name is actually a successor to the Mi CC devices that have not appeared in the Netherlands. The phone has a striking appearance, an accessible price and should especially appeal to young people and people who care about the design of the Civi.
The Civi has a glass back with a matt finish and a soft touch. You can find it in three colors: black, blue or pink. The screen is a 6.55 inch OLED panel with curved edges and a thin chin. The panel comes with a 90 Hz refresh rate, 950 nits of brightness and there is a fingerprint scanner underneath. Special about the design of the Xiaomi Civi is that this phone is only 7 mm thick.
Powerful chipset, large battery
Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset, which we know from the Motorola Edge 20 and the Samsung Galaxy A52s. It comes with two storage models: 8/128 GB and 12/256 GB. Despite the slim design, Xiaomi managed to provide this Civi with a 4500 mAh battery that you can charge with a 55 watt fast charger.
The Civi has a relatively simple camera setup. First of all, there is a 64 MP main camera, followed by a 12 MP wide-angle sensor that takes images in 120 degrees. Finally, there is a 2 MP macro camera and at the front you will find the 32 MP sensor for your selfies.
Prices and availability
The Xiaomi Civi is already announced in China and will mainly be for sale online. You will find it there for the equivalent of 345 euros, but it is not yet known whether it will also come to the Netherlands and Belgium. We have asked for more clarity at Xiaomi Netherlands and will update this article as soon as we have a response.
