Yamaha is celebrating its 70th anniversary with a striking white and red livery for the Supersport series. The R125, R3, R7 and R9 pay homage to the legendary limited 1999 R7.

Yamaha Motor Company marked its 70th anniversary earlier this year and will celebrate this milestone until 2026. The celebration will have a clear visual signal: a special 70th Anniversary livery, inspired by the iconic limited edition race-oriented R7 from 1999. The combination of Qualitative Pearlish White and Vivid Sporty Red, complemented by black historic speedblock graphics, immediately brings back memories of Yamaha’s revolutionary Supersport models from the 1990s.
The anniversary color was already on display earlier this year at the TT Circuit Assen, where the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP team and the Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP team used the one-off color scheme during the kick-off of the festivities. Also at the prestigious Suzuka 8 Hour, Yamaha Racing Team riders Jack Miller, Andrea Locatelli and Katsuyuki Nakasuga rode machines in this style, achieving a podium finish.
In addition, Yamaha teams in the FIM Superbike and Supersport World Championship had their riders ride racing machines in the same anniversary livery at the Circuito de Jerez in October. This made the celebration of Yamaha’s 70-year Supersport heritage visible worldwide.
For 2026, white and red colors will be available on the R125, R3, the new R7 and the award-winning R9. Yamaha has carefully incorporated historical details: the model logos have been re-styled as in the ’90s, while the iconic tuning fork logo is gold-colored, in line with Yamaha’s factory racing machines. This retro-inspired styling combines heritage with modern technology and emphasizes the close bond between Yamaha’s road and racing models.
