The nightmare for the Model S Plaid?

The latest model of BYD’s premium brand YangWang appears to be a beastly strong sedan in top form. We are talking about the YangWang U7, a car that with its more than 1,300 hp may become the nightmare of the Tesla Model S Plaid.
YangWang is the premium brand of Chinese giant BYD. YangWang has already presented an electric supercar and a fantastic SUV, successively the U9 and the U8. There will also be an electric sedan called YangWang U7. We previously wrote about the YangWang U7 and now more technical specifications of the stretched electric four-door have emerged.
The YangWang U7 is quite a battleship. It measures 5.27 meters in length, is 2 meters wide and has a wheelbase of 3.16 meters. These dimensions make the U7 almost 30 centimeters longer than cars such as the Tesla Model S and Lucid Air. Even a Mercedes-Benz EQS loses out to the U7 in terms of length. The YangWang U7 comes with, among other things, a – hold on – 135.5 kWh battery pack. According to the Chinese measurement cycles, there will be versions that can travel 720 and 800 kilometers on a full charge. The YangWang will have a variant with four electric motors that has a system power of 1,305 hp. So very strong and undoubtedly also very fast. How quickly does that top U7 reach a speed of 100 km/h from a standstill? We don’t know that yet, although the top speed is known: 270 km/h.
