You can read this in AutoWeek 16

Techzle 16 will be in the shops from tomorrow or on your doorstep this week. What are you reading this week in our packed magazine?

In the photo above you immediately see the most modest test you will find in Techzle this week. We put our endurance tester, the Toyota Yaris 1.5 Hybrid, against the non-hybrid 1.5 VVT-i. Lars Krijgsman finds out exactly what you are missing if you go for the Yaris without electrical support.

Cornelis Kit is driving a long-awaited electric newcomer this week: the Skoda Enyaq. An extremely important model for Skoda, which hopes to take a big point of the electric cake. He will of course get competition from his own concern through the Volkswagen ID4, but perhaps the Skoda is secretly the more interesting car of the two.

This week, however, there is also a lot of attention for the more exclusive stuff. Roy Kleijwegt, for example, drives the Maserati Ghibli. Why, you may ask? Well, the Ghibli just got a completely new powertrain despite its age. The Ghibli Hybrid has a 2.0 four-cylinder with mild hybrid technology on board. That should of course make him more accessible, but isn’t it a bit too little and too late?

Another big step up the price ladder we find the Porsche 911. And specifically the brand new GT3 version. Traditionally, the GT3 has been the perfect recipe for unprecedented driving pleasure. You would say it could hardly be better, but it still seems that Porsche has taken another step with the new 911 GT3.

In the second-hand corner of our magazine, things are not too modest this week either. That already starts with Klokje Rond. This week a BMW 735i from 2002 shines on the bridge at Carrec Technocenter. A BMW from the time when Chris Bangle’s design language caused quite a stir and reliability was not really at a peak. In short, a car surrounded by controversy and with its 333,000 km on the clock is a perfect candidate for a closer inspection.

We also have something special on the rollers this week. A real Opel Kadett 2.0 GSi 16V. The most potential of the Kadetts GSI. They were not really new and nowadays you hardly ever see them again. A wonderfully rare customer for Ghisbert, who is investigating for us whether the Kadett is still doing what it once could.
