Techzle 22 will be in stores from tomorrow or will fall on your doormat this week. What are you reading in our packed magazine this week?
Relatively few new cars in Techzle this week, but we do have a test with a very relevant newcomer. We made the first kilometers with the brand new Audi A4 e-tron. After Volkswagen and Skoda, Audi now also uses the MEB platform that we already know from the Volkswagen ID3, ID4 and the Skoda Enyaq. The Q4 e-tron could become a thorn in the fur of the big E-tron.
For those who prefer a car with pure petrol power, this week’s Poster Story is a must. We were asked to test the mighty Ford Mustang Mach 1 on the Ford test track in Lommel, Belgium. If that wasn’t enough, the totally outrageous Shelby GT500 took care of that, because it was ready too!
Of a more modest nature is the test with the Honda CR-V and the (for us) brand new Subaru Outback. In the United States, these two cannot be dragged along, but in Europe we are not enthusiastic about them. Whether the all-new Outback can change that, he may demonstrate against a slightly updated CR-V.
Time flies, because it has been 25 years since Porsche came up with the first Boxster. To celebrate, there is a special festive edition of the 718 Boxster. It has a number of equipment features that should bring the Boxster into top shape, so of course we tried that.
Furthermore, there is a lot of attention for occasions in number 22. What about the Suzuki Ignis Sport ZR2 that shines this week in Blits Bezit? Maybe it doesn’t tell you something right away and we can imagine that, because this is really a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
Now that the weather is finally nice, many will undoubtedly be itching to take a look at an affordable roadster. We prove with the occasion double test this week that you can drive a lot of fun open for a relatively modest price. In it we put an Audi TT Roadster Quattro with 225 hp versus a BMW Z3 Roadster 1.9i. Not only do they still look nice despite their age, you also do not have to pay € 5,000 for the tested specimens. What you get for that money, Marc Klaver tells you.
Among the various reports in number 22, there is also one that will particularly appeal to fans of the Peugeot 205. We recently visited Peugeot 205 Totaal, a company that is completely dedicated to the 205. Not only is there a huge collection of 205s for sale and for parts, but owner Wilfred de Ronde also has some very striking own creations. .
Finally, a Range Rover from 2005 shines in Klokje Around this week, with no less than 410,000 km on the clock. It’s a TD6, so that makes it initially a bit more confident than you would expect from a Range Rover. A closer inspection should reveal whether that trust is justified, or whether there are really expensive defects lurking.
All this and more can be read in the latest Techzle, which will be in stores this week from Wednesday. Would you rather not go out? Order from the easy chair the latest number. Then it will be delivered within two working days.
