While the hustle and bustle of the IAA in Munich was still going on, we were already busy with a new Techzle. It will be in the shops tomorrow or will be on your doormat this week. This is what you can expect.
You can already see it in the photo above: the brand new Peugeot 308 will be featured in Techzle 37. The 308 made quite a bit of noise when it was unveiled, because of its striking appearance. We are of course very curious how the 308 comes into its own in real life. Jan Lemkes has the honor to find out in France.
DS 4
That is not the only compact middle class car from France with which we are extensively acquainted this week. The DS 4, strictly speaking a brother of the Peugeot 308, is also ready for it. Its task is to make a not entirely unspoken predecessor forget. Roy Kleijwegt tells you whether DS has succeeded in raising the ‘4’ to a higher level.
Anyone who had hoped that there will be no SUVs this week will be disappointed. We put the renewed Jaguar E-Pace against the Audi Q3 Sportback. In both cases, it is a pretty strong plug-in hybrid. Could the E-Pace’s partially electric powertrain make it the car it should have always been, and should Audi be concerned?
Fans of aging supercars should not miss Techzle 37. A lovely foursome from the 90s get together for a trip down memory lane. The Maserati 3200 GT, the Porsche 911 Turbo (993), the Alpina B12 5.0 and the Aston Martin DB7. Piece by piece gems, each with its own character.
Finally, Klokje Rond pays attention to an Opel Astra 2.0 DTi from 2004 with more than half a million kilometers behind it. A very respectable odometer reading for the Opel, although it seems that the Klokje Rond inspection is probably one of its last achievements. The owner gives it a moment in the spotlight.
All that and more can be read in the latest Techzle. It will be in stores from Wednesday this week. Would you rather not go out? Order the latest issue from the comfort of your home. Then it will be delivered to your doorstep within two working days.
