AutoWeek 42 will be in stores from tomorrow or will fall on your doormat this week. This week we drive, among other things, the Kia EV6, which carries high expectations. Of course there is much more interesting to read.
You can already see it in the photo above: our Citroën C4 endurance tester meets its ancestor, the first generation C4. The Citroën C4 is a good example of how the automotive industry has changed its course. Just look at the first and third generation C4: the old one is a ‘normal’ three-door hatchback, the latest a crossover.
A car that has no direct predecessors, but is by no means less interesting, is the Kia EV6. We’ve been calling him for a while. We soon saw that the Kia EV6 is promising. But the electric Kia more than fulfills its great promise in practice. In fact, Kia is brutally ahead of the direct competition. Roy Kleijwegt will update you after a driving test with the EV6.
Another brand new model coming up this week hasn’t even been revealed yet. We are talking about the Mercedes-Benz SL, in which we were already allowed to drive. Not yet behind the wheel, unfortunately. Mercedes-Benz is trying to save the concept of the SL from destruction. It is no longer a comfortable roadster for older people, it is just like the original model with its legendary doors again a sports car. We ride with AMG’s technical director.

In a more modest part of the current car market we find the three compact middle class cars that compete with each other in a trio test: the Kia Ceed, Seat Leon and Mazda 3. Another step below is the Volkswagen Polo, which was recently facelifted. Marco Gorter went on the road with the renewed Polo and investigated whether the appearance of a Volkswagen, which is still fairly firmly changed, really entails as much innovation as it seems.
In our used section of the magazine we pay attention to two young used SUVs that are certainly worth considering if you like to drive economically. The SUV may have the image of a large, heavy and especially fuel-consuming car for some, but the Mercedes-Benz GLA and Peugeot 3008 prove that the soup is sometimes eaten less hot. Thanks to their modest diesel engines, they combine good performance with acceptable consumption. Marc Klaver shares his findings with the two.
A car that manages to hide anything but spotless technology in a beautiful way, the first generation Audi A5, can prove itself this week in Klokje Rond. The copy in question has a 2.0 TFSI in the nose and almost 3 tons on the counter. Joep, grab the yellow paper, but it might not be too bad.

All that and more can be read in the latest AutoWeek. It will be in stores from Wednesday this week. Would you rather not go out? Order from the lazy chair the latest number. Then it will be delivered to your doorstep within two working days.
