EV expansion

Volvo’s parent company Geely is bringing a new EV brand to Europe: Zeekr. These photos show the Zeekr 003, an electric crossover that will probably also come to the Netherlands.
Like Volvo, Polestar and Lynk & Co, Zeekr is one of the many brands of the Chinese behemoth Geely. Zeekr is currently only active in China, but the brand that only sells EVs is also coming to Europe this year. We already know that Zeekr wants to bring the shooting brake-like 001 to Europe, but it doesn’t stop there. In the form of the Zeekr 003, it also comes with a smaller electric crossover.

Zeek 003.
Parent company Geely has launched the first photos of the Zeekr 003 into the world. Those images show an electric crossover-like that, judging by the Audi RS E-Tron GT it has parked on one of the plates next to the 003, grows to be about 4.4 to 4.5 meters long. The model has a strikingly steeply rising shoulder line and looks ‘chunky’ with its optically heavy rear, fairly high nose and low windows. At the front, the Zeekr 003 shows some similarities with Lynk & Co. That’s no surprise. After all, Zeekr’s first production model – the 001 – started life as a study model from Lynk & Co, but dried up as a model from Zeekr. So Zeekr does not step away from the Lynk & Co-like front.
We aim for the Zeekr 003 to hide a variant of Geely’s SEA platform. The SEA platform family consists of several versions. For example, the already well-known 001 and Zeekr’s electric MPV, the 009, are on the SEA1 platform. Just like the upcoming Polestar 4, by the way. The Smart #1 and #3 that AutoWeek could show you not long ago well before its unveiling, are on a smaller variant of the SEA platform family. We will undoubtedly learn more about the Zeekr 003 later this year.
