Hyundai Ioniq 6 First Edition

Car brands more than once opt to first introduce new models to the market in a generously designed introduction version. For the electric Ioniq 6, Hyundai is following a similar path. This is the Hyundai Ioniq 6 First Edition.

In the middle of this year, Hyundai presented the second model of its Ioniq label: the Ioniq 6. The Hyundai Ioniq 6 is a lower and notably more stretched model than the Ioniq 5 that introduced Hyundai’s EV label. Like many other new models these days, the electric Hyundai Ioniq 6 is also making its debut on the Dutch market in a special introduction jacket.

We don’t have detailed information about the Hyundai Ioniq 6 First Edition yet. You even have to wait another month for more specifications. Hyundai is now only announcing the arrival of the introduction version and reports that the Ioniq 6 First Edition will be presented on October 24. So on that day we know exactly which powertrain the Ioniq 6 First Edition has and with which indulgence the car is packed. Hyundai does report that the introductory version “[…] very fully equipped” and will be available in the colors Biophilic Blue Pearl, Serenity White Pearl, Nocturne Gray Pearl and Gravity Gold Matte.

Hyundai Ioniq 6

The Hyundai Ioniq 6 is 4.86 meters long, which means it stretches over a considerably greater distance than the 4.63 meters long Ioniq 5. In addition, the Ioniq 6 is no less than 14 centimeters lower than its much more angularly designed Ioniq brother. The electric sedan will be available with a 53 kWh battery, but will also receive a 77.4 kWh package in its bottom. The versions with this package are available with one or two electric motors and therefore have rear or four-wheel drive. The strongest variant is 325 hp and 605 Nm strong and zooms from standstill to a speed of 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds. The rear-wheel drive version with the largest battery pack comes just over 610 kilometers on a charge.
