Seat Tarraco PHEV
Seat again releases a plug-in hybrid model. This time it is the Tarraco’s turn to be electrified. The SUV can drive fully electric for up to 48 km.
After the Seat Leon, the Spanish brand is introducing another plug hybrid, the Tarraco PHEV. This will also arrive at the Seat dealers at the beginning of 2021. However, the prices are not yet known. Specifications are there.
The plug-in hybrid powertrain consists of a direct injection 1.4-liter TSI turbo petrol engine, a six-speed DSG automatic transmission with integrated electric motor and a 12.8 kWh battery pack. The powerful drive produces 245 hp power and 400 Nm of torque. The top speed is 205 km / h.
Normally the Tarraco starts in electric mode. The maximum speed is limited to 140 km / h. According to the WLTP measurement, the SUV can drive up to 48 km purely electrically. For longer distances, the electric motor and petrol engine work together in Hybrid mode. When extra power is needed, the Tarraco has the s-Boost mode.
The driver can choose to keep the battery charge at a certain level or top it up on the go. Charging at a 3.6 kW wallbox takes approximately 3.5 hours. The WLTP test shows a theoretical fuel consumption of 1.8 to 1.9 l / 100 km. You would get to 730 km on gasoline and electricity together.
The plug-in hybrid Seat Tarraco appears in Excellence and FR trim levels. The former emphasizes comfort and luxury, with 19-inch alloy wheels, Full Link smartphone integration (with MirrorLink and Apple CarPlay), an electrically operated tailgate and Predictive Adaptive Cruise Control. The sporty FR comes with sports seats with integrated headrests in the front, aluminum sports pedals, 3-zone temperature control and illuminated door sill plates.
