You can currently only buy the 3 from the Chinese Seres, but the Seres 5 will be added soon. The Seres 5 is of a completely different caliber than the Seres 3 and is 585 hp strong!
At the end of 2020, the Chinese brand Seres reported to the Netherlands. The company currently only offers the €37,995 Seres 3, an electric crossover with a 53.6 kWh battery and a range of 329 kilometers. With its 163 hp electric motor, you can sprint to 100 km/h in just under 9 seconds. Those who want more cannot yet turn to Seres. But soon.
Seres indicated two years ago that in 2021 it would not only bring the Seres 5, but also the Seres 7 to the Netherlands. The calendar is now set to 2023 and those two higher-positioned EVs cannot yet be found in our country. But it has now become known that the Seres 5 will soon be coming to the Netherlands.

The Seres 5 is of a completely different caliber than the Seres 3. In the first place, with its length of 4.7 meters and wheelbase of 2.88 meters, it is much larger than the 4.39 meters long Seres 3, which is 2, 66 meters between the wheels. The Seres 5 is therefore a few centimeters larger than, say, a Skoda Enyaq iV. Also in terms of drive, the Seres 5 is completely different from the 3. The Seres 5 has two electric motors with no less than 585 hp and 940 Nm, sufficient to take the SUV from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds. h to shoot. The battery pack has a capacity of at least 80 kWh. In Norway, Seres already specifies a range of 500 kilometers for the Seres 5, although that is an NEDC and not a WLTP value. In China, the Seres 5 also exists with a 1.5 engine that as range extender functions.
We don’t have a Dutch starting price yet, but that may follow soon. During the Brussels Motor Show, Seres will be highlighting the 5 in the coming days. It is hoped for the brand that the Seres 5 will catch on better than the Seres 3. To date, only nineteen copies have been registered.
The Seres 7 will probably follow later. That electric SUV is positioned one step above the Seres 5.
