Vibrating camera iPhone 14 Pro is software error
All kinds of videos surfaced in the past week of a vibrating camera on the back of the iPhone 14 Pro (Max). This happened especially when the smartphone tried to play a video from a third-party app.
Apple responded to this, saying that you don’t have to run to Apple Store right away to fix the camera shake problem in iPhone 14 Pro. This tells us that the vibrations are not harmful.
What’s moving in the iPhone 14 Pro?
Some iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max users are having an issue with their 48MP main camera on the back of the phone. This is the bottom camera on the camera island. When they use the camera in apps such as TikTok and Instagram, the image vibrates uncontrollably. The consequence? A rattling sound, shaky videos and, according to some, even permanent damage.
YouTuber Luke Miani also encountered this problem. He said in his extensive test of the iPhone 14 Pro (Max) that the vibrating camera could no longer focus in the Camera app. He decided to go to an Apple Store and exchange the phone. Apple itself reports that this is not necessary, because the error is in the software.
Why does the camera vibrate and what can you do?
According to Apple, both iPhone 14 Pro models are equipped with a new version of ‘optical image stabilization’. This is a small part in your camera of your iPhone 14 Pro that has to compensate for vibrations and movements to make stable videos. But this feature doesn’t seem to work quite right. According to Apple, the problem should be solved within a few days.
Apple didn’t reveal much. We think this bug will be resolved with an iOS 16.0.2 software update. Until then, it is wise to use your camera of the iPhone 14 Pro (Max) as little as possible in third-party apps.
