From the end of July, it’s time, because that’s when the Olympic Games start. Apple is coming up with a few nice new features for the 2024 Olympic Games.
2024 Olympic Games – How Apple is Participating
The 2024 Olympics are fast approaching, and Apple is doing its bit with some cool features coming to your iPhone, iPad, and Mac. You’ll find these new features in Apple Maps, Apple TV, Apple Podcasts, and more.
In Apple Maps, all (permanent) locations are now shown using impressive 3D models. These include Parc de Princes and Olympic Aquatic Center. Also well-known locations such as East Station, Pont d’Iénaand Place de la Madeleine are now viewable in three dimensions. Apple Maps also shows you information about temporary locations, such as small shops.
App Store
Furthermore, the App Store will also be more focused on the 2024 Olympic Games. official app will therefore appear more often here and there in promotions. The App store also shows popular events and shows more often apps that have to do with the Olympic Games.
Apple TV
The Apple TV app is expected to participate in the 2024 Olympic Games, but it is not entirely certain whether we will also get these functions in the Netherlands. American Apple users will then be able to find the NBC Olympics Hub in the Apple TV app and watch coverage of the Games in the Apple Sports app.
Apple News (not available in the Netherlands), Apple Podcasts and Apple Music will also receive special broadcasts and reports focused on the 2024 Olympic Games.
The 2024 Olympic Games begin on Friday, July 26 and run through August 11.
