With the Videos app you can watch all your purchased movies, series and music videos. Although the application is much less popular than other streaming services, 3D Touch makes the app a bit more interesting.

With the pressure-sensitive screen of the iPhone 6S (Plus) you can operate certain functions within apps in a nice way. For example, you can quickly preview links and messages, or open a specific function via a shortcut menu. Apple’s Videos app also has 3D Touch support. In this article, we’ll highlight the three main options.
1. Start videos from your home screen
With 3D Touch you can start a video from your home screen and immediately continue where you left off. By pressing the app icon firmly, four recently watched videos or movies that you have downloaded but have not yet seen will appear.
The Videos app synchronizes with all your iOS devices, so that you can, for example, also watch videos from your iPhone on an Apple TV. Thanks to 3D Touch, this process is just a bit faster on the iPhone 6S (Plus).
2. Preview of movies and series
In the Videos app you have an overview of all your purchased films and series. You can preview a video by pressing lightly on the screen. By pressing a little harder on the screen, the item opens in full screen. With TV series, you will also see how many episodes a season contains in addition to a preview.
Your favorite music clips can be viewed in the same way as movies and series. Press lightly on the screen to preview and press slightly harder to make them appear in full screen.
3. Hide cloud purchases
If you only want to watch movies, series and clips that are on your iPhone, then you need to turn off the option ‘Settings> Videos> Show iTunes purchases’. In the settings menu, you also have the option to choose when to start your video the next time you open it.
